The portal has a catalogue of ready-made blockchain products from Moscow developers
The Department of Information Technologies of Moscow has made an English language version of Russia’s blockchain knowledge base available on the ICT.Moscow portal.
It is aimed at analysts, smart city experts and developers of blockchain projects.
Smart city section
The database contains more than 50 Russian use cases of the distributed ledger technology covering various industries and business processes. They are divided into 11 categories: fintech, public sector, industry and energy, logistics and transport, retail, medtech, e-document flow, edtech, HR-tech, real estate and other. A section dedicated to Moscow smart city projects will be launched soon.
The fintech and public sector categories feature the largest number of cases (16 and 13 respectively). Projects implemented by the Moscow government include remote electronic voting.
Other use cases include automated electricity metering, mortgage transactions, tracking intellectual property transactions, conducting factoring operations, registering the transfer of exclusive rights and implementing blockchain in an electronic data interchange.
“The knowledge base will provide opportunities for the world community to study the Russian experience of using blockchain from the state and the private sector”
The ability to provide deferred payment in exchange for the assignment of receivables to the participants of the Moscow Innovation Cluster is also included in the knowledge base.
The portal has a catalogue of ready-made blockchain products from Moscow developers with 37 solutions. Market analysis on the technology is also presented here.
The project was created with the participation of the IT Department of Moscow Government and will be regularly updated.
“The knowledge base will provide opportunities for the world community to study the Russian experience of using blockchain from the state and the private sector and find new partners among Moscow developers,” said Eduard Lysenko, minister of the Moscow Government and head of the IT Department of Moscow Government.
The knowledge base can be accessed at ict.moscow/en/projects/blockchain/.
