Golf Business News – Nippon Shaft enjoys double winning weekend

Players using Nippon Shaft products won on both sides of the Atlantic on Sunday (May 30), as Nippon Shaft’s Modus series racked up its 235th and 236th victories on global professional Tours.

Bernd Weisberger successfully defended his title at the Made in Himmerland tournament, where he used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120x steel shafts in his irons and wedges. The Austrian shot 21-under par to win by five shots.

Meanwhile, Cameron Young, the winner of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Evans Scholars Invitational at The Glen Club in Illinois, used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges to prevail in his second straight Korn Ferry Tour victory on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, who played his college golf at Wake Forest, dominated the field with an 18-under par total for a five-stroke victory margin. He had held at least a share of the lead in his last eight rounds on the Korn Ferry Tour and earned $108,000 for his latest victory, which moved him up to 14th on the KFT rankings.

“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winners of this year’s Made in Himmerland tournament and the Evans Scholars Invitational,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are pleased that both players relied on Nippon Shaft products and will be watching them closely as they continue to compete on the golf’s most elite Tours.”

More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour currently use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts.
