Golf Business News – Players 1st launches business intelligence suite

Working with four golf federations in Scandinavia, Players 1st has launched a ground-breaking Business Intelligence platform to benchmark and optimize rounds played and also track membership development.

The BI Suite introduces a common data benchmark language across all clubs in the Scandinavian countries and has already been implemented at more than 900 clubs. These clubs now benefit from consistent metrics when interpreting rounds played, utilisation rate, players per booked tee time. which supports the club and federation when optimising their course utilisation.

In addition to tee time booking performance, the suite also enables clubs to monitor their member metrics such as retention and churn rates and compare to national benchmarks in real time. With specific focus on key metrics for new members, as well as churned members, clubs can efficiently forecast their membership growth rates and take effective actions in order to achieve their membership goals.

For further insight into the health of club membership, clubs can filter all data on demographic segments such as age, gender, handicap, membership type and more.

Morten Bisgaard, CEO at Players 1st, said: ”We have been working closely together with the national federations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland on this development project for more than a year now, and the launch of this addition to our platform is a huge step for Players 1st, our partners and the industry. We are already a global leader within golfer feedback and experience management and adding the BI-suite opens up a new market for us that we are looking forward to engage in and support.”

Bo Bengtsson, Deputy General Secretary of the Swedish Golf Federation, said: “With the introduction of this extremely user-friendly BI-platform we strengthen the clubs’ opportunities to make fact-based decisions. We already see that the platform creates fantastic value for the clubs, and we look forward to working together with Players 1st to develop the suite even further in the coming years.”
