Grizzly Bear Bluff Charges Man Walking Down Street in British Columbia

Hair raising Instagram video of a man getting mock charged by a grizzly on the streets of Rossland, BC. Accoring to The Agassiz Harrison Observer this comes on the heels of a report that another bear bluff charging someone walking on Railway Avenue in Rossland on Thursday September 2nd. Cheyanna Shypitka of WildSafeBC Rossland/Trail advises locals to lock the  doors to their homes, sheds and cars at all times, remove bird feeders and pick all fruit from trees. She also advises locals to carry bear spray and know how to use it.

“It’s up to us to manage our attractants so that wildlife doesn’t get acclimated to human presence. Studies and experience have shown that this preventative approach is the best way for communities to stay safe and wildlife to stay wild.”

Can you imagine having to pack a can of bear spray just to take a walk down the street? Gnarly.
