Lakers vs. Warriors live score, updates, highlights from 2021 NBA play-in tournament

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have shown a healthy respect for each other ahead of Wednesday night’s play-in game between the Lakers and Warriors. When it comes down to it, though, both guys know that they must go through each other in order to secure a playoff spot.

At the conclusion of the 2020-21 regular season, James called Curry “the MVP of our league.” Curry appreciated the praise from James, but he isn’t letting his guard down against the defending champions.

“We all know as competitors, though, when the lights are on, I can talk about how great he is until I’m blue in the face. And he can do the same. It doesn’t change how we approach that competition when we’re out there,” Curry said Tuesday. “I won’t be giving him a pass because he likes the way I play this year and vice versa.”

Can Curry continue his impressive season and guide Golden State to the No. 7 seed? Or will the Lakers be the first Western Conference play-in team to enter the playoff bracket?
