tomshi & associates‘s project draws from the mysterious celestial body ‘black hole’ attracting all things to flow into the unknown realm with its powerful gravitational field. the area is separated into upper and lower layers which are connected with a geometrical spiral staircase, while elements such as arcs, rings, domes, and spheres adorn the interior.geometry runs through the whole spatial structure
the design style of the HAYDON remains simple, using the most concise architectural language to integrate with the surrounding lingnan architecture. the façade uses the design technique of optical illusion, and each module is cut obliquely. from the front, it takes shape as a mysterious box, applying black stone material, showing the architectural aesthetics by the golden ratio. furthermore, the gray tone continues in harmony with the original beijing road characteristic lingnan architecture.
the entire space presents an international and cutting-edge trend. the reconstructed and upgraded beijing road pedestrian street adds a beautiful architectural landscape.
