First-of-its-kind apartment style hotel brand, stayAPT Suites, announces the groundbreaking of eight new locations in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, as part of its mission to build an extensive portfolio of corporate-financed and franchised locations across the United States.

stayAPT Suites, which launched in 2020, has already opened five successful hotels across the southern U.S. region with no plans of slowing down their nationwide expansion. The brand will open another five hotels this fall, has an additional eight locations currently under construction, and 15+ sites in development. The brand expects to have 25+ stayAPT Suites hotels open by the end of 2022.

Extended-stay veteran and stayAPT Suites President and CEO Gary A. DeLapp said:

The reaction we’ve received from guests and prospective investors has been overwhelmingly positive. Our flexible prototypes and high cash-on-cash yields have been very appealing to potential franchisees. In addition, guests have been blown away by the amount of space and the overall functionality in each suite. It’s like nothing else experienced in the category and is a game-changer for long-term lodging.

The N.C.-based hotel chain offers a category-defining, apartment-style hotel experience that features a spacious signature layout with full-size kitchen, a dedicated living room, and separate bedroom. stayAPT Suites delivers a superior experience compared to extended-stay competitors, while providing a unique opportunity to cross-sell in the corporate housing and short-term apartment markets.

Advantages of franchising with the brand include: two- and three-story construction models ranging from 59 to 88 units, with flexible prototype sizes that provide efficient land usage ideal for sites ranging from 1.8 to 2.1 acres; industry leading margins with greater ROI potential, plenty of white space with the ability to fit well in large, medium, or tertiary markets; and superior commercial real estate project yield.

stayAPT Suites is a 100% ground-up construction brand, positioned in the midscale category of the long-term lodging segment. It’s purpose-built for broad appeal to traveling professionals, project-based workers seeking greater mobility and transitional housing customers. The company has plans to complete 100 corporate-owned locations and has nationwide franchise opportunities available.
