The Goring appoints new sales and marketing director | Article


The Goring has announced the appointment of Paula McColgan as its new director of sales and marketing. 

McColgan is described as a “hands-on and high-energy leader”, who brings with her over 25 years of experience in global luxury hotel sales and marketing.

Her “diverse” background spans a broad range of sales and marketing disciplines alongside her “natural ability” to recruit, build and manage highly motivated teams.

McColgan most recently held the position of director of sales and marketing at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, London, ahead of its June 2021 relaunch. 

Prior to this, she led the sales and marketing team at Kimpton Fitzroy London, overseeing the launch in April 2018. From 2004 to 2016 she was director of sales and marketing at The Lanesborough, repositioning and relaunching the hotel in 2015 under the hotel’s new management company, Oetker Collection. 

Other hotel groups she has worked for include theMandarin Oriental Hotel Group, St Regis Hotels and Resorts and Forte Hotels and Resorts.

According to hotel, her “wealth of experience within the luxury and London hotel industry perfectly complements The Goring’s rich and iconic history”. The hotel was opened in 1910 by Otto Goring and is now the only five-star luxury hotel in London that is owned and run by the family that built it.
